BRAINWASHED - 1ST EDITION RELEASE 2002 EMI RECORDS AND IS NOW SELLING A LONE FOR THIS ORIGINAL RELEASE STILL WITH THE ORIGINAL PURPLE & WHITE STICKER TO VERIFY IT'S ORIGINAL ISSUE RELEASE DATE. ALL COLLECTORS KNOW THAT OWNING A BEATLES MEMBER ORIGINAL ISSUE IS PRICELESS - Completed by George Harrison's son Dhani and Jeff Lynne after the EX-BEATLE  succumbed to a long illness in November 2001, Brainwashed is a bittersweet reminder of the myriad contradictions that made Harrison such a compelling figure. One of the most warm, melodically rich albums in a career pockmarked by personal frankness and professional indifference in its latter years, Harrison finds rewarding ways here to reconcile bitter assessments of the material world (the title track) with more fleshy concerns, as his jaunty take on the Arlen-Koehler chestnut "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" ably demonstrates. Pushing the singer's distinctive dry voice to the forefront, and with Harrison's trademark slide guitar riffs as sinewy as ever, Lynne's showcase production is mostly spot-on and refreshingly restrained, while Dhani brings his own fresh, touchingly personal insights to the record. He double-tracked his own voice onto an old recording of his father chanting the traditional "Namah Parvati" and appended it as the album's spiritual benediction, a touching reminder that while musicians come and go, music can truly embody their spirit forever.

ALL THINGS MUST PASS -  180-gram vinyl 3LP box set! REMASTERED FROM THE ORIGINAL ANALOQUE STEREO MASTER TAPES – THE ALBUM REPLICATES DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE ORIGINAL RELEASE AND PRESSED IN GERMANY IN 2014

All Things Must Pass was released by Apple Records in November 1970. Co-produced by Harrison and Phil Spector, many musicians contributed to the album, including Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Pete Drake, Gary Wright, Klaus Voormann, members of Badfinger, players from Delaney and Bonnie band, and John Barham.

The triple-LP topped charts around the world and earned universal acclaim as a rock masterpiece. George became the first Beatle to have a solo No. 1 single in both the U.K. and America with the album's lead single, "My Sweet Lord," which introduced his signature slide guitar playing. George co-wrote the album's opening track, "I'd Have You Anytime" with his friend Bob Dylan, who also wrote another song on the landmark album, "If Not For You."

Live in Japan, Harrison's second official live album release, was recorded during his joint tour of Japan with Eric Clapton in December 1991. The tour came a year after the release of the second Traveling Wilburys album and was the result of Eric Clapton persuading Harrison, his close friend, to get back on the road. Harrison performed a series of well-received shows, which also featured a short set of Clapton's songs. The album contains a selection of Harrison's hits as a solo artist alongside some of his best-known Beatles songs.

George Harrison GEORGE HARRISON 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION LP
FIRST TIME EVER ON 180 GRAM Vinyl LP! Remastered from the Original Analogue Stereo Master Tapes!

 -      Harrison's hit No. 14 1979 LP featuring his big hit "Blow Away." Harrison's self-titled effort was released in February 1979, after a year away from music and the birth of his son, Dhani. The album included the hit singles "Blow Away" and "Not Guilty," a song that Harrison originally recorded in 1968 for the Beatles' White Album.

The album also features "Here Comes the Moon," the lyrical successor to his 1969 composition "Here Comes the Sun." Harrison co-produced the record with Russ Titelman at his studio, FPSHOT, in Oxfordshire. Amongst others, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood would make guest appearances. Issued on Dark Horse Records.

Love it, Love it, LOVE it! OK, now that I got that out of my system, I'll tell you this: listening to this LP is like being at a lovely beach on vacation and being deeply in love. There is something endorphin-raising about the songs on this album, and it makes you feel as though life is looking rosy. It's not a sappy, superficial happy feeling, it is a deep contentment: well, drat, it's difficult to explain. The only time you start feeling sad is when you remember that George Harrison is no longer on this earth. Otherwise, this is a happy LP. If you want angry, if you want dreary, get another LP. (The one and only song that really doesn't belong is "Faster." I wish that could have been on "Cloud Nine" with Jeff Lynne producing it. I loved Russ Titleman and George Harrison's production of every other song, though. Very "Guitar-centric." )

George Harrison wrote some of the most beautiful love songs EVER. People mistakenly have this impression of him as the weird Hare Krishna Beatle who wrote all that w00-w00 sitar music (which I enjoy, frankly) but I'm tellin' ya, this man wrote some gorgeous love-music! Maybe his spirituality contributed to his ability to appreciate romantic love and life's simple joys as "Good Gifts;" and how fortunate we are to be able to listen to his interpretation of those gifts.

"Dark Sweet Lady" is sublime. "Your Love is Forever" made me stop what I was doing and just listen in astonishment. "Blow Away" reminds us how easy it is to let go of a bad mood, and forget about it, as easy as warm winds blowing away a cold, dreary day.

"Here Comes the Moon" has a totally different feeling than "Here Comes the Sun." I'll explain in my pathetic way: You know how you sit outside at late summer dusk, and the sky gets progressively darker and this big full moon climbs up slowly 'til the day's heat is gone and the balmy breezes start wafting around all these summery fragrances, and it's suddenly turned into a beautiful summer night?

Also what a tremendous GIFT" these masterpieces of vinyl will make any true fan.

Released in December 1974, Dark Horse capped a prolific year for George, during which he had established his own Dark Horse record label, built a recording studio in his Friar Park home in England, and completed an ambitious tour of North America. The songs on the LP document both George’s fallibility, in Simply Shady, and his spirituality, in It Is He (Jai Sri Krishna).” Dark Horse reached the top five in America, sounding a high note at the end of Harrison’s rather frenetic year.

Somewhere In England, released in 1981, was the first Harrison album to be released after the death of his former Beatles bandmate John Lennon. The original recordings submitted by Harrison in 1980 were rejected by Warner Bros for being “too laid back” and not sufficiently commercial. “Blood From A Clone”, Harrison’s searing indictment of the executives behind the decision, would make the final cut.
