Seller: luftzug10 (309) 100%, Location: Llandudno, Ships to: GB, Item: 223850920993 I am having a clear out of my antique clock stock, I obtained this clock a number of years ago I still have not got round to restoring it. It weighs in at nearly four kilos, a good part of the weight is the good quality movement, it's a rack and snail striking movement with thick heavy gauge brass plates, it looks to be a copy of a french design, one unusual feature is the winding ratchet wheels are at the rear, instead of the front.Stamped on the rear of the movement is the makers motif, an anchor with wings with the letters T. H. Could it be Thomas Haller ? around the motif in German is written, Eingetrajgene fabrikmark. The movement is missing it's pendulum and the leader, however it is quite happy to tick away without them. The clock strikes the hours and the halves in sync on a quality blued steel gong. The case is sound no worm, it has nice carved features on the front. It is missing the right hand finial on the pediment, and also the glazed door from over the dial. the dial is good quality with a matted center, the brass dial backing plate has cherub spandrels .A good restoration project for someone. The clock is being sold as a restoration piece, sold as seen, no returns are accepted. This clock is heavy, hence high the postage cost. Condition: For restoration, Age: Edwardian or earlier, Material: Mahogany, Type: mantle table clock, Features: 8-Day, Brand: unknown, Style/ Origin/ Theme: Antique/ Vintage, Clock Sub-Type: Chimes, Gongs
