Item:264410388693Henri Jacot Corniche Style Carriage Clock Timepiece A lovely example of this brass corniche style carriage clock made in Paris by Henri Jacot. The clock has an eight day movement and the backplate is stamped with theHenri Jacot trademark, an African grey parrot, known as a Jacot, sitting on a perch, along with the serial number 13100.The serial number is also stamped on the underside finishing plate. The clock underwent a full restoration some two years ago, and has recently had a full service carried out by a professional horologist.A new mainspring was fitted including a new platform escapement during the service. The clock runs to very accurate time from one week to the next.Overall the case is in a very good condition for an antique piece. The white enamel dial is in an excellent condition and has black Roman numerals and blued steel spade hands.All of the glasses are also in an excellent condition without any chips or cracks. All of the engraving is clear and without any wear/rubbing including the trademark.A key is supplied with the clock. Height: 7 inches (180 cms) including handle.
