Item:322460436458Holden Commodore VE Race Car 6.2 LSX V8 Engine. Holden Commodore VE (Chevrolet Lumina) Race Car. I bought this
car to compete in the 2017 CSCC New millenium series and Castle Combe GT
championship. It is with deep regret that my commitments are
forcing me to sell the car without even racing it! Spec list is as follows: 2009 Holden Commodore (or Chevrolet Lumina, whichever you prefer). Built by the legendary TWR factory in Australia to compete in the 'Chevrolet Supercars Middle East Championship' Bare
shells prepared to exacting standards with comprehensive, gusseted
rollcage that joins to the front strut towers. Painted
Fiat metallic grey inside and underneath, outside is a colour chosen by
TWR. The engine
is a 6.2l LSX V8 chevrolet crate engine (LSX376B8 part number) chosen
for its robustness and low maintenance characteristics producing in the
region of 450-500hp with similar torque. The engine is the rare and sort
after iron block version that everyone likes to swap to forced
induction. The gearbox in a Jerico 4 speed sequential dog box, i
have personally inspected the gearset and have found it in excellent
condition. The clutch is a twin plate version with a 900lbft (from
memory) torque rating. Suspension consists of Bilstein inverted,
fixed rate dampers with H&R 2,1/4 springs front and honeycombe
rears. Most of the suspension has been converted to rose joints or solid
bushings. Brakes are Performance Friction all round. 380mm
monoblock fronts and 355mm(?) rears, all rotors and pads in very good
condition. Exhaust is a side exit (RH) system which sounds
brutal, I would recommend more silencers before you raced the car to
save noise test problems. The electronics are taken care of by an
MSD engine ecu, the car is operated by a bespoke fuse box and race spec
wiring harness. The racepak LCD dash is faded but still readable, this
has a GPS beacon plumbed in but ive never looked into using it properly.
A electronic master switch is fitted and works well, SPA fire
extinguisher system is out of date but servicable and holds pressure as
it should. Also
included with the car are a spare set of Enkei race wheels and slick tyres, front bumper, front slam panel and headlight blank. Overall its a beast of a car, very fast, stops very well and is forgiving when it slides, which it does if you want it to! I
chose it because its been well over-engineered for reliability and
strength but sadly work has really taken off and I not only need some
capital, but I would not have the time to enjoy it as it should be. Serious
enquiries are welcomed at sensible times. If you are serious about the car PLEASE come and look
at it before haggling! My number is 07921860913, im available most of the time and if im not, drop me a text and ill call you back asap. This is a VAT applicable sale and I would either like cash on collection or cleared funds into my account before the car leaves. Regards Geoff
