Hi all you keen property hunters and welcome to the sale of my little house and land here in south east Bulgaria on the Black Sea coast. I need to say right away that this really is a cracking location and this is very important to get right in this rapidly developing EU nation. This house is located less than half an hours journey from both the city of Burgas and the international airport as well as the popular beach resort of Sunny Beach, recently voted the best value holiday destination in Europe. Indeed, from where the house is located you can actually see in the distance the city and airport as well as the Atanazov Lake and the Black Sea – what a location! See pic of map. It’s a great location for studying wildlife and going on nature walks. It is part of the small town of Izvorishte. The house is really a small one bed chalet but has been modernised to use as a base to build a new house on the big piece of regulated land it is on. The land is a big 1000sq mtres (qtr acre) and is ample to build a new 4 bed detached house whilst still leaving the chalet in place. This is building land, not agricultural. So you can either build a new house or just enlarge and extend the chalet and leave it at that, either way, you have to admit it’s a great long term investment. Where in Europe can you buy land by the sea at a price like this? If this house realises the full asking price then the purchaser will have the option of also taking possession of a Suzuki Vitara car which will be MOTed, taxed and insured to use to get to and from the house. It is getting on a bit now but I use it regularly and it is surprisingly reliable. Also in the sale will be included a great deal of work tools and equipment. This will include a MTD petrol rotovator for digging up the ground, several strimmers including a metal bladed brush cutter, and a big chest of saws hammers and drills both corded and cordless. You may see big old houses with ample land at a ridiculously cheap price, but there is a reason for this. There are many towns and villages in-land where all of the houses are run down and virtually derelect. You may buy a big old house and spend a small fortune on doing it up but it still won’t be worth any more than the others in the area because, as we all know, location matters! Coupled with the fact that your house will be several hours drive from any big city or airport or beach/ski resort then you will not only not be able to rent it out but whose going to buy it off you? And if you are going to live there yourself wouldn’t you rather be near the sea and close to an airport and city? After a three hour flight, like any holiday you go on, you don’t want to be much more than 20 mins to getting your feet up and tucking into your first pint. I am a UK resident and have a long term resident card to stay in Bulgaria. I bought this house ten years ago together with an apartment in Sunny Beach.
