Antique 19th Century Marzi & Remi Westerwald German Pottery Stein Jug Pitcher
This incredible large ornate earthenware jug is a fabulous example of Marzi & Remi's Westerwald pitchers. Created in 19th Century Germany, it's intricate raised patterning upon a matte earthenware are impressive to say the least. Including a big M&R coat of arms style crest on one side in fabulously rich pigmented jewel colours and a fantastic sculptural design at the front of the rim, and on the other a more delicate flourished foliage pattern, you could say it's a jug of two sides.
