Our Evening Primrose Oil Capsules help your pet look like a showstopper. With the highest available levels of the omega 6 fatty acid, gamma linolenic acid (GLA), this supplement helps to enhance skin and coat condition for the glossiest locks around. Omega fatty acids are known to influence skin renewal, scurfiness, dryness and coat shine, so this supplement is particularly beneficial for show dogs, long haired breeds or after moulting/other hair loss. Our capsules can also help to maintain a normal hormonal balance so are useful for bitches after a season.
Dry, flaky and scurfy skin can make your pet itchy and can get worse at certain times of the year. There can be multiple causes including a defective moisture barrier, that when functioning normally helps to retain moisture in the skin, dehydration or allergies. Feeding your pet a moist diet and ensuring they always have access to water, together with regular grooming can help, but it can also be beneficial to supplement your pet with Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) to promote skin and coat condition. Our Evening Primrose Oil Tablets contain the highest available levels of the omega 6 fatty acid, gamma linolenic acid (GLA) which helps maintain skin renewal and moisture retention while supporting a healthy, shiny coat.
Evening primrose is also well-known for its ability to help maintain a normal hormonal balance, which can otherwise affect behaviour and coat quality. We recommend giving it to all bitches after a season to help restore hormonal balance.
Both products contain 10% GLA but the liquid allows for the correct amount to be given to smaller pets. Our Evening Primrose Oil capsules provides an easy way to give this supplement daily to most pets.

Stud Tail 02 October 2020 My 6yr old entire male ridgeback developed stud tail, causing baldness over the gland. Due to being hormone balancing I added in the evening primrose oil everyday, not really knowing if it would make a difference, but the hair has grown back very nicely, not perfect, but without looking closely you wouldn't know. This is the only difference i made, coincidence? i don't know, but I'm about to finish my second pot and will continue giving it. He's always been in very good condition, but his coat is velvet soft too. skin and fur problems after steriod 11 April 2018 Hi, my Bertha is a miniature bull terrier affected with LAD (Lethal acrodermatitis) and therefore she has to get steroids throughout his life. At the end of 2017 she was near one year old and she started to be bald on both side and at the bottom. We was advised to do a thyroid test - we did it and everything is fine. After consulting the veterinarians - probably the baldness was the result of using steroids. We reduced the steroids to 1/2 dose and we started giving her Gamolen to improve the condition of the skin - unfortunately after two months there were no positive effects. We went to Crufts with our dogs and got your advertising flyer, I have reviewed your products and individual case descriptions - and during the Crufts exhibition we bought Evening Primrose Oil capsules and Keeper's Mix for Bertha. After a month of using them the bald area of Bertha's skin was covered with fur. I am delighted with the result, and have put before and after a month photos up on your FB discussion group. Post Spaying 14 March 2018 Just wanted to say that my dog is recovering well after her spaying, thank you for your help and advice offered.rnI gave her the Arnica 15C and Evening Primrose Oil Capsules as suggested and am continuing with the supplements.rnrnThe Arnica 15C worked a treat, she had no swelling or bruising and I truly believe it has assisted in her recovery.rnMy vet was very pleased to see after 3 days how well she was and actually remarked on how good the wound was with no swelling!rn rnI did enjoy a couple of quiet days! After day 2 she was thinking she's fully fit so now it's a challenge to keep her calm and in check!! Excellent product 08 May 2017 I adopted a rescue Clumber bitch: who had been used for breeding in a puppy farm and so her general health was rubbish. Clumbers are notorious for skin problems but I have seen the benefits of EP on her coat and condition. I have also been pleased to notice a change in her mood - she is less aggressive to my other bitch and I attribute this to better overall hormonal health.Hormones 15 August 2013 We came to visit you at Bath with a nervous highly strung papillon bitch puppy which had got worse after a season. At a breed club championship show she refused to move and despite gentle handling dropped and rolled and refused to move. Having taken your advice and put her on Oil Of Evening Primrose after Bath Show she is a different dog at Southern Counties yesterday we walked her past other breeds with no reaction and she was animated as she showed being placed 2nd in Puppy Bitch.
