Authentic, Takeda Harunobu-clan traditional young male/boys kimono, hand-painted on extra-fine silk. This particular kimono is specifically worn by a male child on Miyamairi, which is the child’s first visit to a Shinto shrine which takes place 30 days after his birth. This silk kimono dates from the Showa period. Silk is exquisite, refined, extremely soft to the touch, and exceedingly light in weight.
This Kimono is a piece of art in itself. It will make an exquisite wall art decor. See photos for room display ideas. A fine hand-painted Samurai wearing the Japanese kabuto (warrior helmet) graces this exquisite traditional treasure. The art of painting silk or other clothing is believed to bring nature’s beauty, wisdom, strength, good luck, and prosperity into people’s lives.
