On offer is this outstanding and lavish vintage bridal kimono or Uchikake. Please see below for many more photographs. The color is a beautiful champagne, with a fabulous bright orange silk lining. Rich coloured silks of orange, gold, silver, taupe, black, brown and green are embroidered forming swathes of flowers and foliage, the embroidery is exceedingly impressive.  In pristine condition, it has been taken care of extremely well.  The sheen of the Kimono is so beautiful. It has a fresh and free feeling about it!  The outside of the Kimono is perfect, and the lining has absolutely no rips, or tears.  This is true art, and would look terrific in any home.  The measurements are with the Wedding Kimono hanging on a rod, with the arms to the sides:  As follows: Across: 52 Inches Length: 73 Inches  The Uchikake was and is still worn on the outside of layers of beautiful costuming, which is why there is no obi. Weighted at the hem, the bridal kimono is worn by the Japanese bride for their high ceremony. It could be displayed on a rod in a living room for a grand and gorgeous statement.  The three sectioned hanging rod is supplied along with the kimono. This kimono has been in storage for a while and is in need of a gentle steam when hanging to allow the creases to drop out fully.
