Item:392657170335This auction is for an antique French clock movement by Japy Freres - it carries their logo on the backplate and also is marked 'G.R' in a double oval. It carries the serial number 1132. It is all complete with dial, hands, hinged bezel and bevelled glass, as well as having a very nice hinged back door with bevelled glass - both back and front bezel surrounds are original, and are marked with the serial number the same as the movement. The enamel dial is very good with no hairlines. The movement has its original bell and hammer. There is a pendulum with it, but this is not the correct one for the movement. Also, the strike spring is slipping/has a torn end, so on this basis it is being sold for spares or repair. The time spring is good. It was taken out of a clock many years ago and consequently is dirty - there are also some traces of light surface rust on some of the bright steel parts. Cleaned and overhauled, this will make a very nice movement. The bezel outside diameter is 11cm and it fits a case hole of 10cm. I have tried to be as accurate as possible with my description, but please message me if you need any further information. Item No. KMW2036 If you are bidding on any of my other auctions, I will combine postage on multiple items. Items paid for by Paypal will only be sent to a Paypal verified address. All UK items will be sent, unless otherwise stated, by Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded. All items, if under the maximum weight limit of 2kg when packed, will be sent overseas by Royal Mail Airmail International 'Signed For' service unless otherwise stated. Items are now sent this way to conform to eBay/Paypal regulations that safeguard both the buyer and the seller. This can make the shipping charge, particularly for overseas bidders, higher than possibly expected as the Recorded/Signed For service adds to the postage, particularly the overseas postage. I can accept no responsibility in the very rare event that items get lost in the post, but I will endeavour to do all I can to help the buyer by contacting Royal Mail and getting them to do the necessary search. Please be aware that it is illegal to falsify the value or contents on Customs documentation and under no circumstances will I do this. Overseas buyers are responsible for all duties and taxes, if applicable, that are levied by their Customs. dCondition:SEE FULL DESCRIPTION - KMW2036, Age:Antique, Pre-1900, Clock Type:French Clock, Material:Brass, Sub-Type:Movements, Type:Clock Parts, Make:Japy Freres
