Clockmaker, son of John Agar senior of York (q.v.). He was born in about 1750 and apprenticed to his father. He became free in York in 1782 and was working in Malton by 1784. He died in 1814.

Single sheet all silvered and nicely engraved arched dial with 30 hour endless chain movement in a swan neck pediment case.
John Agar (II) who was born circa 1750, apprenticed to his father 1766 (who was in Castlegate and Fulton, Yorkshire) and free 1782. The son is listed at Malton, Yorkshire by 1784 and died 1814.
