Wing Butterfly Nut
A threaded nut designed to be used with an equivalent threaded rod / bolt / machine screw.
Unlike other nuts these are designed to be tightened by hand rather than with tools. Sometimes known as "Butterfly" nuts.
Diameter: Refers to the size of the internal hole. Measured from the minor diameter of the internal thread (thread valley to thread valley on either side).
Threads: All threads are 'Standard' (usually 'Coarse') unless otherwise specified, and conform to the DIN 315 standards.
FeaturesAll the internal threads conform to the DIN 315 standard for metric thread tolerances.
That means that any 'M' sized bolt / machine-screw can be used with the equivalent nut.Designed to be fitted by hand, without the use of tools.
For applications where a secure fitting is required but where the fastening may have to be frequently removed.Steel (Zinc Plated)
A Corrosion-Resistant plating provides protection from external elements, and extends the life of the metal.
