The History of an Elite force of Highland Soldiers whilst they spent 5 months in North Norfolk training for Battle in the Great War.This book is the result of almost 5 yrs research.They were the 1st & 2nd Regiment of the Lovat Scouts plus the Scottish Horse Regiment. This 79 page History was researched by local Historians, T. Armstrong, J. Smith and N. Day. The latter is the owner of land on which has been found 4 acres of Trenches dug by the Lovat's whilst here in 1915. These trenches are still in existence today.The book records some daily life at the time as well as many Concerts they put on for local residents plus unseen Photos So special were these Soldiers, who had proved themselves in the Boer War, then in Gallipoli.
