Clock is brass with decorated side panels.The name John Smith London on the dial.This is chain driven with 2 beautiful and polished cylinder brass weights. The big hand is I think a replacement as it is newer and a tad lighter in colour than the smaller hand but a perfect match, this can be resprayed darker if needed. This is a chain driven clock with an 8 days German Hermle movement and with two cylinder brass lead filled weights and pendulum.This clock strikes a single bell once on the half hour and as many times it is on the hour.Rear door opens to gain access to the movement. this closes but does not secure with a catch/latch which is not really an issue as it is not on display.
