Item:293086306610A Best Offer May Be Considered Before The End of The Auction, So Don’t Be Afraid To Ask. Large Late 18th Early 19th Century Swiss or South German Bracket Clock 1/4 Repeater With Very Rare Pull Repeat. Circa 1790-1810 Very pretty case with floral designs throughout and with it's original wall bracket. This is a very, very rare example because of its pull repeat facility. To give you a rough background, it is fairly difficult to determine if these are made in Switzerland or Southern Germany as these were made within both areas. The movement is very high quality and most of them of this period are just hour and half hour striking. There are vairous other setups utilising 1, 2 and 3 plus bells, but 1/4 striking and multiple bell versions get rarer the more complicated they are. What makes this one extremely rare is having the added pull repeat mechaism which are almost never seen. It has 2 bells and four hammers. There is an interesting green coloured 1/4 striking version currently on Ebay with 3 bells but is not a pull repeater. Worth a look. The condition is very good with very minor damage at the top of the dial which is not seen with the bezel / front door shut. It is working, however the clock may require slight regulation depending on the atmosphere and temperature of its new location which is a normal thing to do. Please see photos as they form part of the description. The photos don't really do it justice as in the flesh it is much nicer and I apologise for the unavoidable light reflections in the photos. Dimensions: Total Height including the bracket approx 88cm. Height of clock itself approx 65cm Width at base of clock itself approx 34cm Depth at base of clock itself approx 12cm Height of bracket total approx 25cm Width of bracket approx 35.5cm Depth of bracket approx 15cm Please note;It is extremely unwise to send large clocks via the normal mail for obvious reasons, so this is collection only, delivery in person with 50miles of Tunbridge Wells, meet part way within reason or an approved courier of your choice only including covering the courier costs yourself. 07731. 564008 Please remember as with all Antique and secondhand items, please be your own judge About age, condition and description before purchasing as I am not an expert in such things.
