It's a lovely example of the functional, minimalist style that peaked in the middle of the last century. These clocks were to be found in civic buildings, railway stations and offices throughout Czechoslovakia and the Eastern bloc. It was originally a slave clock, but has been converted to a modern quartz movement that runs off just AA batteries. It is in lovely condition for its age. It has the odd age related mark, but nothing that draws the eye. Could do you with a stronger quartz movement but this is easily done. it is particularly rare because of the EX which was when the clocks were made “ explosion proof” in case of an explosion in the war. Thanks for looking.
