This pea can be grown as an early variety and also as a later maincrop variety (from a second later sowing). The well filled pods each contain approx 8 to 10 very tasty, succulent, sweet peas. The peas are sweeter than most other varieties and even if the pods contain larger (older) peas, they are still sweet, but for the sweetest most tender peas pick young! This is a heavy yielding variety even if you keep the height to about 6ft (1.8m), which is reachable and recommended, you will have an abundance of fresh tasty peas. Homegrown peas are so good they always taste much better than shop bought peas! For an early crop outdoors, sow indoors February to March or September to November, in a greenhouse or on a windowsill, then sow more peas outdoors April to May to ensure a good supply of these tasty peas. If you only have a small garden and want plenty of peas, these tall vertical peas are ideal as they take up less garden space and are very productive! Sowing Spring, Summer and Autumn Sow Indoors: February to March + September to November Sow Outdoors: April to May Sow indoors February to March or September to November, in deep pots or deep cell trays of moist seed compost 5cm deep, two seeds per pot, keep the compost moist but not soaked.
