A rare Art Deco Carlton Ware bowl with matching ladle embossed with fruit and with a pearl lustre finish. The earthenware bowl is of long shallow shape with hand decorated fruit embossed in relief to the inner and outer edge and with a decorative floral band around the inside top edge of the bowl. The ladle in similarly decorated with embossed fruit and both have a pearl coloured finish to the body. Both pieces have printed marks to the base and these are early examples produced prior to the design being registered which occurred in 1925. The pattern number is 3052.
