Seller: lewiwalduc0 (50) 100%, Location: Bicester, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 174152771849 This is a lovely long case clock dial from about 1720 it is in good condition though the silvering on the chapter ring is missing however the wax in the numerals is still intact and the spandrels are all there held up by their original square screws which shows authenticity. There is a lovely set of engraving in the middle of the dining depicting two birds and there is a date ring in the centre. The clock was made by a Thomas Wilmshurst he was a well-known maker in Deal in the early 18th century. The movement is in a birdcage style and it is nice to see that all the wheels have been hand cut this movement is very good quality and one of the earliest ones you’ll be able to buy the clock does not work. There are a few wheels that have detached and the hand is not fixed.
