A very good quality French Belle Epoque antique mantel clock with four bevelled glass panels showing the clocks movement and compensating pendulum. The brass case has fluted Corinthian columns with decorative capitals and inverted mouldings stood on a plinth base. The clock has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and visual escapement and the movement is a French eight day duration which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell. The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name:- Samuel Marti Height - 29 cm (11 ½ inches) Width - 19 cm (7 ½ inches) Depth - 17 cm (6 ½ inches) Circa - 1870
This clock is in lovely condition ready for your home. The brass has been cleaned and lacquered and the movement has been cleaned and serviced and it comes with a 12 month guarantee.
