Seller: autom_uk (175) 100%, Location: BRIGHOUSE, Ships to: GB, Item: 323883691690 Probably the last MG ZT registered in the UK.There has been a good deal of interest but no firm bids. I am dropping it to £500 from the original £700, the first person to turn up with £500 I will pull the listing. To the 1600+ views and the 100+ watchers a quick update. I will not be around from Friday Lunchtime until Monday evening. The donor car is now gone. If it does not make the £500 I will be keeping it. Hence why the bids between £270 and £425 have been rejected! The interesting history bits first. It was made just 2 weeks before the Rover ceased production and registered in January 2007, that's why it is probably the last ZT CDTI (135) registered. It was the 18,815th ZT out of 18,894 made so less than 80 after this one! It was the 150th ZT CDTi (135) made out of only 188 less than 40 CDTI after this one. It was the 310th ZT in Mica Blue (Ignition) (code: JGY) out of 323 Mica Blue (Ignition) ZTs only 13 more made of this colour! so pretty rare. I used it as my daily drive for around 12 months it was returning some amazing MPG in the 50’s. It then became the “spare car” it is currently around 98k miles, I purchased on 78k miles. Shortly after purchase it had a new clutch, new clutch cylinders, a rear wheel bearing and a service completed by a MG enthusiast. The engine is fine and being the rock solid BMW with no cam belt to worry about! However! There is a light rumble, reliably told by an enthusiast it is the thrust bearing on the clutch. The well known issue of the rear drop links knocking is present. For an enthusiast a very simple fix or even a cheap enough job at the garage. The vague steering at the front tells me although the drop links were replaced at the last MOT they may need a looking at again. During the last MOT it had new discs all round as it had been stood while I used a company car, lesson learned the expensive way with a bill of £800. Thermostat has been changed to inline version, so toasty and warm, plenums also regularly checked. The usual SRS light is on! It’s the clip under the seat, just needs pushing in better. Frustratingly there is an intermittent issue with the bulb failure light although all lights are working. There is a paint mark on the rear bumper and a couple of age related marks and scuffs. It is SORN and the MOT ran out this month. A bit of work and it will pass and become a low mileage interesting rolling restoration. The interior is OK there is a small tear on drivers bolster. And the fitting above and below the radio is loose where the radio was put back in by previous owner. It has the desirable 18” 11 spoke alloys from the V8 which the previous owner decided to spray white! They are probably worth more on the forums than I am asking for the car! I have a full set of 17” from a car I bought for spares with decent tread on the tyres, but ran for around 5 months instead! All in all the bodywork is fine, no rust and or corrosion issues. My mobile is 07950 651980 but does not have a signal where I work so after 6pm please. My suggestion is to come and have a look. It is and I would prefer to undersell rather than oversell the car. As an interesting side note Pratical Classics have a feature on the ZT this month, now is the time to buy as they have hit bottom and the only way is now UP! Reduced Price to £500 Flickr photos here I will try photos of paperwork that I have too.
