An elegantly simple,antique brass double bedstead, constructed of square section lengths rather than the more commonly seen round ones. Being an antique it is, of course, not without flaws. There's the odd blemish, but the overall impression is bright golden and dramatic (when dressed with white linen). Condition: Used, Condition: For its considerable age, this bed is in fantastic condition. It's all original, including the casters. Some patina to brass with good colour. Tarnishing and marks commensurate with age. The original iron slats were discarded decades ago, because they creaked. Like most other users we employed wooden supports instead.
