This is a key wind (MANUAL WINDING) movement. The clock is with a beautiful wood case and with large wooden fretwork side panels to each side. This clock strikes a coil once on the half hour and on the full hour for how many hours the time is with a mellow gong sound.Behind the thick brass hinged door with real glass is the dial with a silver colour chapter ring that has black roman numeral, brass hands and with thick brass corner applications.The hands may not be original to the period of this clock so possible replacements.A stunning and beautiful painted large moonphase showing the rise and fall of the moon and with days on the edge of the dial.
