Antique mid-19th century lithographed folding pocket map with original hand color. Printed on bond paper as typical of pocket maps at this time, now surviving loose without the original boards folder. Detailed city plan of Boston at bottom left with a reference key locating 20 important sites or buildings. A scarce and interesting pre-Civil War American pocket state map. In nice mostly clean antiquarian condition, minor loss in blank margin outside printed area now almost imperceptibly backed with matching paper along the left blank margin (where map was once affixed to original boards folder), original fold-lines as issued. Despite any small minor age flaws, the map and printed area remain clean and visually pleasing- the map is well preserved.
