Designer: Danish Design Manufacturer: Mogens Hansen Country: Denmark Date: 1970s Material: Leather upholstery with Beech wood frame Maximum Dimensions: Width 151cm, Depth 80cm, Height 80cm, Seat Height 43cm and Seat Depth 52cm Condition: Excellent with only small signs of age, in the form of light scuffs / rubbing to some of the cushions and outer edges of the sofa Description: An excellent quality Danish 1970s two seater sofa, designed and manufactured by Mogens Hansen. The sofa is upholstered in genuine and thick Buffalo Leather in a Brown colour, with thick piping detail around the edges of all cushions, the Leather being a trademark of the Mogens Hansen quality. The piece features six removable cushions, including a pair of side cushion inserts for extra comfort, all with button detailing to the centres. The inward curved arms and profile of the sofa is typically Danish, with this style of sofa being very popular and still produced today, often referred to as the 'London' style in Denmark. The sofa is then raised on a stained Beech wood plinth base, with four block Beech feet to each corner below. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century Modern furniture. All items are for sale elsewhere, so may be removed at any time.
