Classed as a PU Leather. PU stands for polyurethane. Polyurethane is a plastic coating thats placed on the canvas as a powder then melted on with heat then topped with the glitter before drying. This process can create a plastic odour especially after its been boxed up in a confined space. Letting your fabric air out will eliminate this. its the nature of this type of fabric
