In hardcover with the original dust-jacket, an inscribed and twice-signed  first edition of this book of poetry by the prize-winning welsh poet and author George Leslie Norris (1921-2006). Ransoms are another name for Allium Ursinum also known as wild garlic. Please see my other items for more interesting and collectable items, as I will always try and combine the delivery to save you money.  Signed twice  by the author, On Sale is a scarce 1970 first edition of * Ransoms  * by Leslie Norris , published in The Phoenix Living Poets series by Chatto & Windus Ltd. with The Hogarth Press Ltd., London, printed by William Lewis Ltd., Cardiff, SBN 7011 1595 5, [first published 1970] this one is dated 1970 to the title page and © dated 1970, with no other editions or impressions listed, it's genuinely signed by the author to the title page and inscribed and signed by the author to the front free-endpaper: "Hannah, with good wishes, Leslie Norris, 1 Nov. 1975". Size approximately 8-3/4 inches x 5-3/4 inches, with 40 pages. The original dust-jacket is bumped and rubbed at the edges with a small edge-split near the front top corner (not repaired) and a one-inch edge-split/crease near the rear top spine corner (repaired on the inside), else complete and not price-clipped, variably age-toned mainly to the spine and top edge and lightly foxed, slightly marked, otherwise reasonably tidy (see photo 1, back otherwise in similar condition). The brown hardcover with gilt phoenix logo to the front and gilt spine title, is not faded, very sound and not worn or split, slight bump to bottom spine-end, corners square, gilt bright and title clearly legible, otherwise crisp and bright and very clean and tidy (see photo 2, back in similar condition ). Inside is complete, endpapers sound and not split, binding tight with cover and all pages well attached, inscribed and signed by the author to the front free-endpaper and signed by the author to the title page as noted above (photo's 3 & 4), no other writing or graffiti, pages not torn and corners not turned, not tanned, light foxing to the free-endpapers where beyond the dust-jacket flaps else not generally foxed, only lightly read, otherwise generally bright and very clean and tidy.  Please view my other items for sale, as I will always try and combine deliveries.
