This is an antique 19th century c1880’s American “New Haven” gingerbread chiming mantel clock. This is in full working order. It has a beautiful extensively carved dark mahogany body. Shows signs of a historical repair to the right hand side of the plinth. The door latch is missing, but the door does stay closed without it. The face is circular in shape with a white coloured chapter ring, black coloured numerals and black coloured hands (the dial is a modern replacement). The
face is protected by a flat glass full bodied door. The door frame and hinges are in intact and in excellent condition. This chimes (on a coil) on the hour (chiming the numbers of
hours) and on the half hour (once). This comes complete with its pendulum and key.
