Newmarket 17th April 1986. Dancing Brave wins the Craven Stakes.. Here we have the official race card for Newmarket 1st November 1985.On this occasion the brilliant Dancing Brave ran in his third race the Champagne Craven Stakes which he beat Faraway Dancer. Dancing Brave ran a total of 10 races winning eight of them. He was considered the unluckiest Derby loser of all time when his then jockey Greville Starkey gave him far too much to do up the Epsom straight failing by only half a length to catch winner Shahrastani. The only other time Dancing Brave was beaten was in the Breeders Cup Turf at Santa Anita where he finished fourth, he suffered an injury in the race which was to be his last. I am currently selling eight of Dancing Brave race cards. Very very rare card, in lovely condition. Each page has been photographed for your examination.
