This is a stunning and beautiful high quality Chinese silk dress believed to be from the vintage era. It is possibly hand made in the far east as there are no tags or information. The silk has a heavy tight knitted and rubbery feel to it that you would expect from the finest quality silks. Seems to be a polyester or cotton inner lining. The dress was found as part of an estate house clearance, and so I can describe it as best I can. Embroidered with birds and flowers, blossom trees. The dress has a waistband that goes around the middle with a bow on the front. I have taken measurements with a ruler and the total length of the dress from the top of the shoulder straps to the bottom of the dress is about 39 inches. The measurement across the thinnest part of the waist is about 12 inches (31cm). This looks like it would fit a SMALL figure. Excellent condition overall, no marks or damage found on the outside. Has a side zip for ease of taking on and off. I have tried to research as much as I can about this dress and the silk, the starting price reflects an average price of similar dresses found.
