Item:332839389909A superb quality and original matching bracket clock by "John Cragg" of King Square London. G.H. Baillie lists a john cragg of London from 1788-1811. This fine example is in wonderful original condition with its matching bracket. The 8 day duration five pillar double chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and striking the hours on a bell with pull repeat. In full working order and signed on the back plate. The silvered dial with full signature is in excellent condition and has a strike/silent lever at the top. Lovely quarter round columns terminating in with brass inlaid pyramid finials. The condition is just as you want to find as its unrestored but original with just the right amount of wear and colour that you would expect from a clock of this age. Its also a real bonus to have the matching bracket as there are usually lost over time. The clock is in full working order and measures 19 inches high[48cm] without the bracket and 13 inches wide[33cm] x 8 ins deep[20cm]. The massive and heavy pendulum with London style adjustment sits in a wide bridge and comes complete with screw holdfast and original silvered fusee key. It also has both front door and back door keys and working locks.A rare clock and one for the collector and looks stunning displayed on its bracket. You are welcome to collect and see it working or I can send and will be well packed. I can also possibly deliver in the uk depending where you live or meet halfway for fuel cost. Please feel free to ask any questions. Sorry I do not send to Russia.
