This superb Pair 18th Century Georgian Candlesticks are fully hallmarked for John Parsons & Co, they was assayed in Sheffield in 1791 making them 227 years old. they have matching hallmarks on the detachable sconces-drip pans, this stunning tall pair of 18th century candlesticks have the most elegant look. The candlesticks are of Neo-Classical design, with tapering stems having a smooth finish which in turn contrast beautifully with the reeded borders to the top, the central raised design on the stem also has the very elegant reed decoration, this all sits upon a round spreading bases and each nozzle has a removable sconces-drip pan with a reed border decoration.The design and decoration is beautiful so very elegant and timeless so very typical of the 18th century.
