THIS LISTING IS FOR AN UNUSUAL PAIR OF 19th CENTURY CHINESE ELABORATELY HAND CARVED WOODEN WALL HANGING CHOPSTICK HOLDERS/CONTAINERS.

EACH HOLDER IS CARVED WITH A VASE SITTING ON A LOW STAND AND FILLED WITH FLOWERS THAT EXTEND UPWARDS TO THE TOP OF THE HOLDER  WITH ALL CARVINGS IN HIGH RELIEF.

MEASURES 16" HIGH, 2 5/8" WIDE (AT BASE) AND 1" DEEP. COMBINED WEIGHT 14 OUNCES.

WOOD HAS A DARK RICH COLOR AND BEAUTIFUL NATURALLY AGED PATINA. 

THE CONDITION IS VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT. ONE HAS A FAINT SPLIT IN THE WOOD STARTING AT THE VERY TOP OF THE HOLDER AND EXTENDING DOWN SLIGHTLY PAST THE HANGING HOLE. THIS WOOD IS TIGHT IN THIS AREA AND THIS DOES NOT DETRACT AT ALL FROM THE APPEARANCE OF THE HOLDER AND IT WILL HANG CORRECTLY AND NOT BE UNSTABLE FROM THIS MINOR FLAW. OTHER THAN THIS MINOR FLAW, BOTH HOLDERS ARE IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION.
