Founded in 1947, the Polaroid Corporation made the film that was used with Land Cameras. Polaroid made 'Land Cameras' from 1947 to 1983, dropping the name after Edwin Land retired in 1982.  The first commercially available model was the Polaroid Land Camera Model 95, released in 1948. The original camera design folded into the body and used bellows to protect the light path. The film was put on two spools, one with the negative roll, and one with the positive paper and reagent pods, and the film developed inside the camera; film for rollfilm Polaroid cameras was finally discontinued in 1992, well over ten years after the very last cameras were produced. The Polaroid J33 Electric Eye Land camera was a smaller, lower-cost version of the J66, manufactured from 1961-1963, and was one of the last models of Polaroid roll-film camera produced. The J33 uses Polaroid Type 30-series roll film, which was discontinued in the late 1980s. There are details available of how to convert the camera for use with conventional 120 roll film, but the conversion is not reversible and reduces any collectible value the camera may have.
