The tenancy will be transferred into your name and you will obtain full rights to the property for life (as standard practise when getting a council property) which means the flat will be yours for life and you will be able to claim housing benefit (which we all know is difficult to do now days renting privately as well with no guarantees of being able to keep property longer than the initial 12 month contract either) and you will have full rights just as if you had got the property direct from the council with much cheaper rent than the private market with rent at just £550 a month and on the private market the rent for this flat would easily be £1000 a month. As my partner we will collect letters in your name for the first 12 months as required to show that you are living there after which the tenancy can be put into your name. You will not be able to live in the flat for the first 12 months due to my mum not wanting anyone in it who doesnt officially own it yet but we will be collecting letters in your name as required for the tenancy transfer where after you will be able to move in and it will all be officially yours, all i am asking for for this is £1,000 a month for the first 12 months with rent paid for you then after this the tenancy will be transferred into your name and all i will want is an additional 16 months of £500, you will be become responsible for the £550 a month payable to housing association but the flat will officially be yours for life and you will only be paying just the £550 a month forever more. This is a guaranteed property that you will be able to keep for life or as long as you want with no worry of ever having to move out as long as rent is always paid and today you are getting the actual lifetime tenancy to go into your name with full rights as if you had been offered the property direct from the council.
