Or Pick Your Own Plugs from the following Superhots....
  • Armageddon - The British-bred superhot has, as of July 2019, recorded Scoville rating of 1.3 million in the UK. However, it is plugged to exceed the heat of the current world record holder, the Carolina Reaper, as it is grown in hotter climates and more examples are tested.
  • Carolina Reaper - bred in Fort South Carolina by pepper cultivar Ed Currie. Originally known by the catchy name of HP22B which stood for Higher Power, Pot 22, Plant B, it was renamed once the grower realised what it was he hand on his hands.
  • Butch T Scorpion - Butch Taylor, the owner of a Hot Sauce company was selectively breeding Trinidad Scorpions to get the hottest possible. It was actually a Butch T grown in Australia that made it into the Guinness Book of Records with a rating of an insane 1,463,700 Scoville Heat Units. The chilli stayed in the book for nearly two years from early 2-12 to December 2013.
  • Bhut Jolokia is a long time favourite of chilli heads around the world. Aside form its intense heat, the chilli boats a sublime citrus flavour that has kept the plant in the greenhouses of chilli growers even after hotter pods have been found. The Bhut starred in the Book from 2007-2001.
  • The Kraken - a Bhut X Chocolate Scorpion.  Aside from its extreme heat and deep smoky flavour, that's so characteristic of chocolate pods, this is an absolute stunner of a plant. Fat, crumpled deep chocolate pods are quite free fruiting.
  • Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion - Produced in Pensylvania by Jay Weaver, you can probably guess from the name that it's a Bhut Jolokia X Scorpion.  A heavy producer and a gorgeous plant.  Usually the lighter coloured super hots are milder in heat and fruitier in flavour than the red and chocolate variants; not so with Jays! This chilli can still hold its own with the hottest of the hots.
  • Moruga Trinidad Scorpion had both the highest heat levels for a single pod, at 2,009,231SHU and the highest mean average 1,207,764SHU. Hailing from the island of Trinidad, plants produce a good number of pimpled, golfball sized pods, most of which have a scorpion kick to their tail.
  • Red 7 Pot The infamous Seven Pot is so called because of the intense heat andy robust flavour of each pod is enough to heat and flavour a whole week of meals. Rough, rounded pods that will blow your mind with over a million SHU.
  • Yellow 7 Pot. Yellow, chocolate and peach varieties are rarely as popular as their red cousins, which is a shame in my opinion as they often have a more interesting flavour.  None more so that the Yellow 7 Pot with it's intense heat and Pineapple twang to it's taste.
Classic Hots Chilli Plug Plants The Classic Hots Chilli Plug Collection includes six large, lush and green chilli plugs.  These chillies are some of the world's classic hot chillies, favoured by chefs around the world, grown as much for their intense fruity flavours as their heat.  They are all quite easy to grow if you have a greenhouse and good producers of hot pods.

  • Orange Habanero - The traditional Habanero chilli is an old classic and a favourite around the world. It is amongst my personal favourites for its sharp heat and refined smooth, fruity flavour. Great for Chilli Con Carne, chicken dishes and even chilli jellies. It has a Scoville rating of up to 350,000 ScU.
  • Chocolate Habanero - This pepper has little to do with the sweet treat we associate chocolate with, save for the rich colour of its skin. The Chocolate Habanero pepper packs a punch far spicier than regular Habanero, with 425,000 Scoville units in each pepper.
  • Lemon Habanero - A lovely semi-ornamental Habanero with bright yellow, lantern-shaped pods. Pods have fruity taste of apricot with a citrusy twang. Heatscale is around 300,000 Scoville Heat Units.
  • Red Habanero - Ferociously hot Habanero that has measured up to 445,000 Scovill Heat Units. The slightly crumpled pods are similar in shape to a standard Habanero, measuring around 4cm x 5xm.  Unripened pods are an attractive emerald green and they ripen off to a gorgeous pillar box red in around 110 days.
  • White Habanero - These plants are well suited to growing in the UK, smaller plants producing prolific numbers of little whitish coloured pods, no more than a couple of centimetres in size.  They produce the pods very quickly and are the first of the chinense varieties to fruit.
  • Scotch Bonnet - A popular chinense type chilli with all the hallmarks of a classic pod; it is extremely hot, around 325,000SHU with a distinctive robust, fruity flavour.
  • Fatalii Yellow - The Fatalii is a seriously hot Habanero relative from the Central African Republic. Chillies are little wrinkled wedges in a gorgeous golden colour that imparts its colour and rich, citrusy flavour into food.  These are seriously hot chillies at 350,000ScU - not for nothing are they called Fatalii!
  • Fatalii Chocolate - The lesser-known chocolate variant of this classic chilli is actually a lot more prolific and easier to grow than its yellow cousin. Ecuadorian Devil?s Breath - This Central American heirloom variety is Ecuador's finest and hottest chilli. It produces large pods with a thick flesh. The Devil's Breath is less pungent than a Habanero at around 200,00 but this chilli is also grown for its thick fleshy-walled that deliver a big hit of fresh, fruity flavor.
  • Paper Lantern - Paper lantern chillies are beautifully ornamental plants with their bushy habit and myriad of clusters of emerald green, crumpled teardrop chilli pods. As chillies mature, their colour turns to a rich, blood red that appears to glow in the sunlight. 450,000ScU
  • Aji Charapita - The little peppery gem from Peru. It's plugged as being the most expensive chilli in the world with fresh pods being bought up by chefs in Lima for thousands of pounds per kilo.  Gorgeous plants are covered with delicious, extremely fruity little  round, explosive pods.  50,000SHU
Connoisseur Cooks Chilli Plug Plants The Connoisseur Cooks' Chilli Plug Collection includes 6 plugs, one of each the following.  These are some of the world's favourite classic chillies. • Purple Jalapeno -  A purple fruiting variant of the popular Mexican chilli. Purple Jalapeños fruit prolifically and are quite easy to grow. They will do ok outside in a warm, sheltered spot.
  • Jalapeño Early - The Jalapeno is a very high yielding plant, growing up to a metre under cover and producing a profusion of flowers and short, blunt, conical fruits. The chillies are often picked and used green, but will ripen through to red. 5,000ScU. Fast to fruit (60 days from transplant).
  • Aji Lemondrop - Their qualities are quite unique, with a sharp heat and an intense lemon flavour, great for many dishes and good to experiment with. Their heat is around 30,000-50,000 Scoville Units. An all round winner. Fast to fruit (70 days from transplant).
  • Thai Dragon - An F1 hybrid Thai chilli producing a large number of explosive pods. Extremely high yielding and an excellent new variety which has greatly improved the Thai chilli type bearing prolific flowers and fruit from just 70 days after planting. Plants are large and covered in fruits which keep on coming throughout the season. Our favourite Thai chilli by a long shot.  100,000 SHU
  • Cayenne Ring of Fire - A supercharged cayenne variety that are easy to grow, quite cold tolerant and have good heat and flavour. A stalwart in the greenhouse or sheltered patio. Around 30,000SHU. Fast to fruit (60 days from transplant).
  • Pusa Jwala - They are one of the most popular varieties of Indian Hot Pepper and are pretty hot at 30,000-50,000ScU. They are a good all rounder for Indian cooking as well as drying well.
  • Piri Piri - One of the world's classic chillies, in fact, one of the world's favourite flavours! Piri Piri, or African Birdseye, plants have grown feral around their native South African and Mozambique.  The sharp searing taste of makes a great accompaniment for chicken and fish dishes.
  • Superhot Birdseye - Plants were bushy, green and ornamnetal; pods very similar to Piri Piri, only the pods were blunter at the end. The taste was the best surprise of all and made it one of my favourite chillies for last year. Hot and fruity, with a definite flavour of apricot.
  • Tabasco chillies originate in Mexico but they have obviously been made famous by the Louisiana hot sauce they give their name to.   Attractive branching plants produce an a bundance of little pods that ripen from yellow to orange and finally red. A classic chilli measuring 30-50,000SHU.
  • Serranos have peculiar hairy leaves and stems and are prolific producers of the fleshy, meaty Serrano chillies so closely associated with Mexican cuisine. Serranos are best used raw for salsas such as Salsa Verde where their juicy, sharp flavour can be most appreciated. Delicious and very distinctive. 5,000ScU.
  • Orange Tyger - Gorgeous culinary and ornamental plants.  Green pods are hot and sharp and they become hotter and sweeter as they ripen. One large Orange Tyger alone is almost enough to keep you in chillies through the summer.
  • Pimiento de Padron  - The Russian Roulette of chillies as the plant produces capsaicin, but not evenly through its chillies. That means that most chillies are mild or completely without heat, but 1 out of every 5 nor 10 will blow you away!  They are a Spanish Tapas chilli and make a great, fun dish for parties. Simply flash fry them in a hot frying pan and dress with olive oil and salt.
  • Bulgarian Carrot - The local name for these heirloom chillies is Shipkas but it's not difficult to see how they got their nickname. They may look like ornamental carrots, but they have some considerable heat so don't try feeding them to your pet rabbit.
  • Thai Demon - A new variety of Thai chilli producing small uniform fruits around 2cm long. This plant is small but very high yielding and an excellent new variety which has greatly improved the Thai chilli type, bearing prolific flowers and fruit from just 65 days after planting. 150,000ScU.
