Item:202483837599REGENCY LIBRARY WRITING TABLE FROM THE ESTATE OF WILLIAM IV This leather topped library table bears the impressed cipher of William IV and will most likely of come from one of the Royal residences. It carries a later paper stamp indicating it was then used in H M Treasury from probably from the late 1950's.This is an extremely rare piece of furniture owned by the British Royal Family which rarely come up for sale.The table itself is Regency period around 1830 and stands on a single turned column base which supports a rectangular leather topped writing surface with mahogany cross banding. The table is in good condition having had minor veneer restorations but the tooled black leather looks to be original. The table measures 48 inches wide 21 inches deep and 29 inches high.
