Seller: timerunner56 (1,004) 99.2%, Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, Ships to: GB & many other countries, Item: 293463502964 Quality 8 Day 12in Grandfather/Longcase Clock Movement & Dial Top quality 18th century English grandfather clock 8 day movement with a 12in brass dial. Beautifully engraved decoration and numbers on the chapter ring (Chapter ring needs to be re-silvered). It has seconds and calendar rings again with nicely engraved numbers. The dial hands are also superbly detailed. The centre is matted engraved with birds and flowers also. This 8 day movement I think dates from the late 18th century and is nice and clean with new cables. This item has retained its bell and pulleys too. There are two small holes located at the back of the dial at the top along with a bit of solder. The movement and dial are original to each other. Movement in good shape but not running, consequently this item is sold as seen for restoration/parts with no returns or guarantees. With a good clean and service this 200 year old movement would run well.
