Item:293176555533You are bidding on what appears to be a nearly perfect LOT of two REPRODUCTION ancient Mississippian pottery vessels in the style of something that might have been created around 1000 - 1540 CE. These pieces are part of a large collection acquired from the late 1950's through the late 1990's and has been in storage for over a decade. Some of the pieces from this collection have been successfully TL tested and are currently being offered to some top-tier auction houses. Unfortunately, one of these pieces was TL tested (results are not included) and does not appear to be ancient, the other was not tested but is stylistically suspicious. This is a great opportunity to own an EXTREMELY rare & low priced decorative display piece, study model, or movie prop!Pot measures approximately 6" tall and 8" wide | weight is 2 lbs 2.2 oz | A small chipped area on rim and surface scuffing. Stirrup Spout Vessel is approximately 10.5" tall | weight is 2 lbs. 8.2 oz | small drill hold on the bottom and under rim / broken and repaired area on the rim.
