The clock is a beautiful longcase with a stunning case design of amazing proportions The case has a regency regulator design with a flat top to the hood which is all of superb quality with a glazed full length door to the front which is in excellent undamaged condition through which the brass regulator pendulum and brass weight can be seen on display, the door has its original fully working lock and key. The case has a true regulator clock look to it with a circular dial with original regency glass to the hood and trunk and has got superb proportions The flame mahogany case has a superb figured patina and colour to it which is acquired through age. Looks absolutely stunning as i am sure you would agree from the pics but looks 100 times better in the flesh and the quality is absolutely second to none The case is in excellent condition for age and looks absolutely stunning wherever it is displayed, the clock is of superb propotions measuring only 73 inches high The clock has a sliding hood which has a hinged door to reveal access to the immaculate silvered regulator dial, the hood slides off to give easy access to the movement The clock benefits from its original 10 inch diameter silvered circular dial with a true seconds beating subsidary and original hands, the dial has a true regulator design with the three separate dials for the seconds, minutes and hours. The dial is signed by the maker J Hammersley of London who is a very well recorded clock maker from 1820's The clock benefits from its original super high quality brass 8 day duration 4 pillar regulator shoulder thick plates movement with dead beat escapement, harrisons maintaining power and superb very heavy regulator brass cylinder pendulum and brass weight, their is also the added feature of a fine beat adjuster to the top of the crutch as you can see in the pictures for setting the fine beat of the escapement. The movement is of 8 day duration and is driven by its brass weight and pendulum which is extremely heavy The movement has all very good regulator features which you would expect to see on a very high end precision regulator clock The movement is in excellent working order and keeps extremely good accurate time as expected from a precision regulator. The movement has been reguarly serviced and oiled and is in full working order which can be seen from the video above I cannot stress enough the quality of this clock. it really is a high quality precision regulator clock.
