The case has a 4 glass style design with bevelled glass panels on either side through which you can see the working fusee movement plus it has a glazed front and back doors, the doors do not have there locks or keys but do hold shut when on display The case has a glass panel to the top of the clock through which you can see the movements high quality original platform escapement working away The case is in excellent condition with only minimal wear to the ebonised finish which can only be expected and only adds to its character The clock features a 4 inch squared bronze ormolu dial with fine highly engraved decoration and engraved roman numerals and original steel hands again all in excellent near mint condition protected by its glazed hinged bezel door, the dial is signed by the maker John Walker of Regent street London with the serial number 3209 The movement is a absoulutely fantastic English single fusee with its original high quality platform escapement.
