DESCRIPTION: Estate fresh, new to the marketplace and absolutely 100% untouched and in outstanding, very well-preserved vintage condition. This is an earlier piece of American Folk Art or period Tramp Art, most likely executed by incarcerated prisoners in a local jail or state penitentiary, since they had large amounts of free time to dedicate to such elaborate and completely hand made, origami style, folded cigarette soft pack, printed paper decorative accessories, hand bags, wreaths and garlands. Tobacco use wasn't frowned upon during the early, to especially the mid-20th century and prisoners would be rationed off 'straight' (filterless) tobacco cigarettes, in the form of popular Lucky Strike, Chesterfield and Camel cigarettes, which came in a soft paper pack. The makers of these pieces would take the cigarette packs, which were left over after the cigarettes were smoked and use the packaging as paper raw material to intricately and carefully, create these amazing displays of early to mid-20th century vintage American Folk Art craft. Absolutely gorgeous. Killer (no pun intended.)   CONDITION: Good to Very Good overall vintage condition.
