The mahogany case has a beautiful pantina to it which is in great condition for age, it has its double hinged case which has a glazed panel to the second lid and the top lid protects the glazed lid underneath. On each sie of the case their is a solid heavy duty brass carry handle The Clock Measures - 6.75 inches high x 7 inches wide x 7 inches deep Dial The clock has a 3.75 inch silvered diameter dial which has engraved roman numerals. The dial has 2 sub dials one for the sub seconds and the other for the power reserve, the dial is in good condition for age and is signed by the maker John Fletcher maker to the Admiralty of London which dates the clock to circa 1870 Movement The movement is a high quality English 2 day duration single fusee chain driven chronometer movement which has its original compensated Earnshaw helical spring detent escapement with maintaining power and bi-metallic compensated balance The movement is in working order but is running fast as it seems to be missing its impulse lever/spring which helps keep the oscillating action. Unfortunately i am not an expert in chronometers and i am unsure exactly how the impulse lever looks and how it fits but to someone who has delt with chronometers alot it should be an easy fix Condition Report This clock is in good original condition, working fast and needing some attention, please have a good look over the many Pictures i have provided which can help with any further item description, please make sure you are happy with clock before bidding, many thanks and Good luck Keep up to date with my latest offers - click here to add me to your favorite sellers or you can take a peek at my eBay shop click here to visit my eBay store.
