Seller: bazrummage (355) 100%, Location: CAMBRIDGE, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 362712107355 An unexpected re-list for a much loved family piece ... A 'turn and fold' Regency Rosewood card table that has spent its most recent years lurking behind a sofa.I am pretty sure that it dates from the early 1800s - both the style and ironmongery are in order .If it is later it remains a particularly good piece of furniture. There has been some very sympathetic restoration by my master carpenter dad : new baize and part replacement of the apron floral motif . The odd sliver of edge veneer is slightly lifted but safe , as is a small segment of the card table top - both pictured .A few very old scratches , spots and one faint vase mark are evident on the top - but the swirl of the burr is just lovely .The paw / claw feet are tight and healthy and the hidden castors are free running. It sat awfully well in both contemporary and period settings over the years - good furniture does that . Measures 73cm in height (68cm knee room) x 91cm x 45cm / 90cm (open). Low start for such a terrific piece . Collection from Cambridge CB3 Delivery up to 50 miles from CB3 is negotiable - just ask for a quote before bidding. Condition: Good used condition, Style: Georgian, Material: Rosewood, Type: Console Table
