Seller: blueclockmaker (1,253) 100%, Location: Gosport, Ships to: GB, Item: 382585696709 When a mainspring breaks, or slips, it often shatters the arbour next to the barrel. This is because it was finished 'Glass Hard' and will not stand hard shocks. If the pinion and wheel is undamaged I can rescue this. I have the equipment to drill through the hard pinion and slip in a new Pivot Steel arbour. No heat is used in this repair so the pinion remains hard. The pivot steel arbour will be capable of recieving hard shocks with impunity. Pivots are turned by hand so there is a possibility you will have to either ream the hole or bush. This is not usually required but can happen. I do not do any other work on French Clocks, Except Barrel Repairs, (See other listing when available). Any Questions - Please contact me.
