This is a good quality low odour compound and is ideal for a wide variety of sealing, gasketing or craft requirements.
SBR, sometimes referred to as commercial or BCQ is a general purpose rubber generally suited to applications such as sealing pipes containing water (Not potable drinking water), waste water, inorganic chemicals and it also has limited resistance to mineral oils.
It is also a good insulator so can be used for vibration or sound dampning.
More than half the synthetic rubber produced in the world is SBR, which gives an idea of its importance in terms of technological and economic reasons.
SBR contains approximately 23% styrene.
