SDRIVE-MAX

Floppy Emulator for 8-bit Atari Computer.

The hardware is extended with a breakout board, which allows SDRIVE-MAX to cooperate with other SIO devices on the bus (which is not possible with some of the SDRIVE-MAX Emulators offered at E-Bay).

switch is used to choose the power supply method on sio.

OFF – you can power the board from an external power supply, or through a USB cable, so you can choose a disk or cassette image BEFORE turning on Atari

ON– 5V power supply will be taken from the SIO port

ATTENTION! If the SDrive is connected to Atari, never use an external power supply with the Switch ON! You can damage the microcontroller or SIO port in Atari! Do not insert or remove the plug from the SIO port when the SDrive-MAX and/or Atari is on.

I will ship with switch in the ON position. Unless asked when ordering

That's why you will be able to copy old floppy disks to the SD card if you wish (of course you need an Atari computer and a floppy drive for that).

The Emulator is easy to use thanks to a touchscreen (in my opinion easier than SIO2SD).
