A great deal of advanced technology has gone into the production of this first-ever Silverbug-themed silver bar. Photo engraving technology was used on the bar’s obverse face to recreate one of the iconic images of mankind’s landing on the moon by American astronauts.

On the obverse face of the 1 oz Silverbugs in Space Silver Bar you’ll find the image of an astronaut walking on the moon in his full suit, with the brilliantly reflected image in his visor shield of the lunar lander and a fellow astronaut emerging from the lander and setting foot on the moon.

Included on this side of the design are two addition features. There is an engraving of the phrase “Silverbugs in Space,” as well as the obverse design from the second Silverbug silver round, the Robo Bug design.

The reverse face of these Silverbugs in Space bars features a design that depicts a rocket as it launches into space. The rocket’s tip is pointed directly at a brilliant reproduction of Earth’s moon, with engravings around it that read “To the Moon” and include the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar.

Silverbug designs all come from members of the Silverbug community on Reddit, a collection of individuals with a love of all things silver. These 1 oz Silverbugs in Space Silver Bars are the newest offering from the group and are produced by the North American Mint.
