My courses have been very carefully developed, continuously updated, tried and tested, creating the highest quality fast track training.  Compressing my 38 years total experience, combining 22 years from body shop panel beater/painter to body shop manager, to 10 years operating my own successful mobile smart repair business (trading in all weather conditions, covering large Kent dealerships and the private market), to now 6 years full time trainer specialising in all aspects from repair and paint to start up and operating a new business.  Each course has been carefully developed and stripped back into easily understandable sections, covering all features of repair and paint.

Are the courses suitable for me?

Because all of my courses are 1 to 1, they can be tailored for exactly your needs and skill set. Courses range from being suitable for trainees with no experience, some experience and up to lots of experience with the full intensive advanced training.

If you are a complete novice with no experience in order to start   my training for this business and to become successful all you will need to be is: good and comfortable working with your hands such as DIY, sensible, polite, physically and mentally fit, and not afraid of hard work – and just leave the rest to me!

5 Day Intensive 1 to 1 Paint and Alloy Course

Based in Deal, Kent

A brilliant course for someone looking to start a small static, same day repair centre, or a mobile business, specialising in both alloy wheels and bumper plastics.

Course Content:

• Alloy wheel: Assess, removal and replace methods.

• All surface preparation: alloy and bumper plastics from small to large damage, re-profile, sanding, and high quality filling techniques.

• Spray guns: correct painting techniques and set up.

• Primer: applications.

• Colour identification: alloys and vehicle colours.

• Computer programmes: paint mixing water base and solvent.

• Final prep: wet-dry sanding.

• Base coat and blend application: water and solvent base paints for alloys and bumper plastics.

• Lacquer application: including edge blending for that high quality invisible repair.

• Rectification: paint defects, problems that occur how to avoid-correct, machine polishing. To include headlight repair: fogged- oxidised, a mot fail – a great add on for your business!

• HSE: health and safety.
