Junkers Ju 87: From Dive-Bomber To Tank-Buster 1935-1945 - Eddie J. Creek - Classic Publications

RARE OOP!!

Superb  book on the Ju 87, on the highly respected Classic Publications imprint, which the author co-founded with Robert Forsyth.  Classic is now owned by Crecy Publishing - however, this is in no way detrimental to the quality of the book, which retains the layout of earlier books in the series, and of course the very high standard of research.  An expertly written text is backed up by hundreds of superb photos, profiles and technical drawings. Essential stuff for Luftwaffe fans!

Here's the official product info:

This large format hardback is heavily packed with information on the Ju 87 Stuka. Highly illustrated, it represents a comprehensive, detailed reference work to be used by enthusiasts and modellers for 'one-stop' ease of access to information to one of the most well known aircrafts of Word War 2. The pedigree of the author's research will mean that this will be the must-have book for all enthusiasts on the Ju 87 Stuka. Unquestionably, the Junkers Ju 87 was one of the most devastatingly effective and psychologically terrifying weapons of war ever produced. The howl of its sirens during a dive-bombing attack struck fear into those on the ground, the aircraft possessing an uncanny knack of making each human feel as if the sole target was him. Spearheading the German advances in Poland, Norway, the Low Countries, the Mediterranean and Russia between 1939-1943, the Luftwaffe s Ju 87 Stuka became synonymous with the art of Blitzkrieg warfare. Next to the fighter aces, it was perhaps the Stuka crews who were held in the highest esteem by both German commanders and the German people and their accomplishments became legendary. Stuka aces such as Oskar Dinort, Werner Hozzel, Ernst Kupfer and Hans-Ulrich Rudel were just some accredited with the destruction of literally hundreds of enemy tanks, vehicles and ships as well as locomotives and bridges. This fantastic reference book is the most definitive history currently in the market and covers from the start of production in 1937 till Rudel’s last flight surrendering to the us forces at Kitzingen. The book contains around 400 photographs diagrams and technical drawings including those showing factory and manufacturing, close ups of weapons and equipment and operational units. It also contains 50+ colour profile artworks and is also supported by a highly detailed appendix containing information on foreign use, camouflage and markings and handbook illustrations. This will be the book sought after by aviation enthusiasts and modellers this year.

And here's a review by an Amazon customer (2012) which gives the book 5 out of 5 stars: the words are NOT my own and are used for descriptive purposes only

Those familiar with Classic Publications will know what to expect from this book, those who don’t are in for a treat. This is yet another superb reference work and one long waited for on the Ju 87. Eddie Creek, working without J. Richard Smith this time, has put a huge amount of work into this book. There are plenty of photographs, well reproduced and some first class illustrations. There are also numerous reproductions from Luftwaffe & Junkers technical manuals. Finally, some very nice 1:72 plans are provided to cover all major variants. The book covers the full history of the Ju 87 from Junkers early designs, through its service life to the end of the war. It also includes sections on the famous aircrews who flew the Ju 87.

A great book, thoroughly recommended to all with an interest in military history and to all model builder.

SHIPPING: UK Details are provided in the drop down menu below. Items below 2kg will be sent by Royal Mail, over 2kg by courier. SHIPPING:  OVERSEAS ITEMS WORTH LESS THAN €150 / £135 From 1 July 2021, the Brexit transition period ends. From this date forward, EVERYTHING sold to a country outside of the UK counts as an export, and as such could be subject to VAT/tax. EU member states require an IOSS (Import One Stop Shop)  number, although this is optional. From 1 July, eBay should provide me with an IOSS number once you have completed checkout. I will then make sure this number is visible on your parcel. This is to tell the customs officials in your country that you have already paid the relevant taxes at point of purchase. The VAT rate for books and printed papers is 0% in the UK, but it may well be different for your country. The good news is that eBay have an entire team dedicated to working out the tax rates for you - these should be visible on your pre-order summary just before you complete checkout, and will be based on 1) the applicable VAT rate for the type of goods you have bought 2) the value of the goods. If you have won an item at open auction, then the final tax amount will not be visible until bidding ends. If you are purchasing a 'buy it now' item then the applicable tax should be visible before you complete checkout. This rule covers items less worth than €150 / £135, regardless of whether there is one item or multiple items in the order. For orders worth more than €150 / £135, please see below. Some countries such as Australian (ABN numbers) and some US States have already implemented the collection of taxes at point of purchase, so customers in these countries will in most cases be familiar with the collection of tax when buying on eBay UK. If any additional codes are required for your parcels, then I am confident that eBay will provide me with them. I will then in due course make sure they are visible on any paperwork or address labels, to show you have already paid your tax. current VAT rates for books can be seen here: https://www.internationalpublishers.org/our-work/vat-and-fixed-book-price/printed-books-and-vat-gst SHIPPING: OVERSEAS ORDER WORTH MORE THAN €150 / £135 If your order - whether an individual item or multiple items - is worth more than €150 / £135, then eBay will NOT provide me with an IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) number once you have completed checkout. Currently, such orders will be subject to tax/VAT (if required) only when they enter the destination country, at the discretion of the local tax authority and based on the tax rates for the kind of item(s) you have purchased. *Please note* that the parcel may also be subject to a release charge by the customs agency in your country. This is the system as it stands - in the future, there may become available a service whereby you can pay all charges up front, in which case I will update my listings. Returns: If you are unhappy with an item, or believe it was incorrectly described then please contact me first through eBay rather than opening dispute claims. I try my best to describe items accurately, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.  Please refer to my 100% positive feedback record over the last 17years. YOU HAVE 30 DAYS from date of payment in which to return an item and claim a refund. This is the time allocated to you as a customer by law, and conversant with eBay's returns policy. You can not claim a refund after this time. Lost / Damaged items / Returns: In the unlikely event that your item is lost or damaged, please contact me through eBay's messaging service in the first instance.  If you need to return an item for any reason, please let me know.  Please note that 'buyer's remorse' is NOT a valid reason for a return
